The Safety Place is a solution-forward nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the public through safety, injury prevention, and wellness education. Preventable injuries are the #1 killer of all people ages 1-44. As a result, our purpose is to educate and empower children and caregivers to lead a safe and healthy lifestyle through hands-on training and education. Our programs include:
Cribs & Car Seats + CPR Program
A workshop designed to help prevent the leading causes of injury and death for children. Enrolled caregivers learn and earn a car seat, infant soft wearable carrier, vehicle emergency escape tool, diapers and wipes to address diaper need/poverty, portable crib to prevent sleep related deaths in infants under one year of age, and a safety & wellness care package. Private car seat education and installation services with certified professionals are also available to the community.
With Love, Community Essentials Market
Our Market creates opportunities to empower, exchange & embrace gently loved items. Our team has created a unique model for community members & businesses to donate funds, new items, and responsibly recycle gently used items. With Love, then offers those essential items to caregivers in need through a learn & earn model. Community members earn stamp cards and stamps by attending safety & wellness courses, participating in community events, donating & volunteering.
The Safety Place Interactive Education Experience
The perfect combination of fun and learning! Each activity and lesson are created by professional educators to combine local school curriculum with deeper, more advanced outside-the-classroom learning and safety training for youth grades PreK-12th grade. This program is designed to reduce youth injury, promote wellness, and improve quality of life.
Ready Set Drive Program
A program designed to educate young drivers about the negative effects of distracted driving, underage drinking, and impaired driving in an effort to initiate positive behavior change in regard to occupant protection and traffic safety. Our program keeps it educational, fun, and real with innovative approaches to working with young drivers, while facilitating the use of problem-solving skills to evaluate driving situations.
Maternal Health & Equity Summit
This learning event equips maternal health providers with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver equitable and high-quality care across all communities. The environment provides opportunities to educate caregivers and providers through collaborative efforts, education, and community engagement.

Our teamβs vision is to create a system that provides accessible maternal healthcare services, advocacy initiatives, and uplifts marginalized communities.
Large Scale Community Events
Total Teen Takeover; Back 2 School Bash; Trunk or Treat Fest; With Love, Community Baby Shower, and Holiday Soiree. These events promote community engagement and the provision of resources.
