Southern and FAMU are both desperate for wins, as each team is at the bottom of the SWAC standings in their respective divisions. While the Rattlers have the home-field advantage, they are the worst rushing defense going against a team that has Trey Holly, the conference leader in rushing yards. The Southern defense should handle FAMU's poor run game. The Southern special teams might struggle in pockets, but the Jaguars should be able to withstand those mishaps in this favorable matchup.
