A suspect has been arrested in a that killed a 23-year-old man, Baton Rouge Police said.
Edward Whitten was arrested on June 2, with the help of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on counts of second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of domestic violence battery, police said in a news release.
William Hills, 23, was shot in the 4600 block of Beechwood Drive at close to 5:30 p.m. on March 29, police said. He drove to the 4500 block of Byron Street, where officers found him suffering from multiple gunshot sounds.
Hills was transported to the hospital, where he died of his injuries, police said.
